What it means to be #therealdeal✌❤
Updated: Jan 16, 2018
I try so very hard to be as real and authentic in my everyday life as much as possible. It should come easy no? Well if you think about social media for a minute to find true authenticity is quite rare. People only post the best possible picture perfect moments to depict their everyday life. Some get caught up in that and believe that their friends lives are just “perfect” but really NOTHING is perfect. We all have flaws. We all have secrets and skeletons in the closet. We all have a story behind each of those pictures. What we need to start doing is eliminating and comparing. The minute we compare we despair. In my experience people really admire my integrity and appreciate the realness I bring forward. Can we please take on this approach? Maybe become a little bit more mindful of it? It would alleviate so much anxiety, isolation, misery and insecurity (that’s for damn sure)
I have received wonderful feedback from so many of you, you guys rock! Because of this it has transpired into such a beautiful community compiled of supportive people that truly enjoy my advocacy in maternal mental health. On a daily basis I will share little tidbits of my own story and path that has been chosen for me and how having the attitude of gratitude will get you through any tough time in life. It is not easy. My path your path, we all have a story to tell, to maybe hide from but what I do know is that there is an end to the darkness. I can’t help but think about those suffering from losing loved ones. My heart aches for them and I am constantly praying for them to find peace. When you are supportive and genuine with people you will get that back in return. Whatever you put out into the universe you will get back. So, we really need to start being MORE supportive, loving, kind and sincere with each other.
I wanted to share with you all a bit about my progression thus far in this new stage of my life. I have been seeing my therapist weekly for the past year (16 months to be exact) and we have decided to start me on a serotonin medication. Its been a little over a month and I have felt a world of a difference. I feel more balanced. I feel more at ease. I feel like myself again. More importantly (and this is the deal breaker) I am not anxious around Scarlett as much. I let things go. I don’t find myself angry at her (because I used to be) it’s NUTS at how different I am. I love it. I am in love with myself again. If any of you reading this think to yourself for a second that this sounds intriguing? Or catch yourself saying “I want to feel this way too!” YOU CAN! Start talking about what you want, get some help (we all need it!) Go to your doctor get a referral and speak to someone, the trick is to never stop talking about your feelings. Never.
I am proud to also share with you all that I am beginning my course in life coaching and in the new year I will have my certification. I am literally feeling over the moon. So excited to help and share my story with so many awesome women. Stay tuned my lovelies for more amazing stuff to come.
Much love to you all, ✌❤
